“Countermeasures for the Great East Japan Earthquake”

On 23rd May, Mission of Japan to the European Union, jointly with JETRO Brussels held a briefing for European companies and business organizations, to explain countermeasures taken in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake.
In the briefing, representatives of the Mission of Japan to the EU explained the current situations in Japan, of issues including; the situation of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, levels of radiation in and around major cities, regulations surrounding food products, regulation on exports, the safety of pharmaceutical products, the conditions of Japanese harbours and airports.
Representatives of the Mission of Japan to the EU stressed the importance and reliability of the measures taken by the Japanese government and authorities in order to check and guarantee the safety of Japanese food, pharmaceutical products, ports and airports.
